The power of Google

I looked at my blog stats this morning. It really is amazing and yet disturbing at which the level google tracks your viewers. Country Locations, Browser Types, Even Device OS's. It is just thorough enough to be helpful without being overly suspicious! It really isn't a blatant violation either since they cover in the terms of use. All the same, it gives me a renewed perspective on how visible one is on the internet.
I had to open my keyboard last night in a ill-advised attempt to clean it. I saw some markings on the back of the key pad, likely from teh factory it was produced in and, it inspired me to take a picture of it haha.

Winter Break = Beach Alone Time

So during winter break, no one is really around school. Amazing how quickly a thriving campus of 27,000 becomes a ghost town. With no one around and nowhere to go, I wandered down to the local beaches as few times to walk amongst the waves with my camera in hand. I have always had a fascination with interactions between light and water. I suppose I was also longing for company. These things played themselves out in my compositions.

Turning around the Getty

Recently I got go visit one of my most favorite places in my small world: The Getty Museum in Los Angeles! The Pacific Standard Time exhibit wasn't too bad, though the other segments around the state seemed to have a bit more "sparkle". Either way I am thankful because the Getty Trust is sponsoring the whole thing, or so I hear.
Anyway, I was not simply content to just look at illuminated manuscripts, treasures of the ancient world, and photographs cataloging the rise of an art movement. I took some pictures of my own. Most of them were bombs though, it was a super windy day  so it was hard to focus on shots, much less take them. Thought my camera would fly away!

 Here are my Two Favorites:

What was Christmas Anyway?

Oh I am so late on this post but I doubt the Christmas cheer is dead yet right? I have a habit of being a bit odd with my Christmas decor. I tend to pick cold lighting over a warm and fuzzy family feeling. A reflection of internal Christmas conflict perhaps? Oh well, it hardly matters. This is what my family gets when I try to decorate. May I also point out that not having a tripod really sucks right now?

Welcome

It is funny, I made this blog eons ago and never did anything with it.. I honestly am not someone who sets out to show my life to the public. I rarely consider what I do to be of any significance. For the sake of myself I will now try to believe I have something worth posting. I hope those who actually come across this blog will not be sorely disappointed.

This is me by the way. Just another art student doing hopefully artistic things.

I honestly hope this blog will become a place where I can share the products of my whimsical mind for all to see and be, at the least amused by them. Time will tell wont it?
